MCPTube download links: they last 60 minutes, need no key and are deleted when they expire, and transcripts of YouTube videos are never stored on our server.

Audio and video don’t come back inside the response: MCPTube returns a downloadUrl, valid until expiresAt, for 60 minutes.

  • The link needs no key: the random ID in the path is the secret. Treat it like a temporary password.
  • Once it expires, the file is deleted from the server and the link returns 404.
  • Transcripts come back in the response body and nothing is stored on the server.
  • File names follow the pattern ID-Title.mp3 or ID-Title.mp4.

Videos above 1080p come as VP9 or AV1 inside the MP4, with no re-encoding. Older players may not play them; in that case, the response includes a compatibilityNote.
